Taylor – Stephen Wrightisms

July 19th, 2003 @ 08:37

Taylor – I did enjoy the Stephen Wright jokes. My friend William and I used to have what we thought was hilarious – but most others probably thought was obnoxious – habit of randomly inserting Stephen Wrightisms into unrelated conversations.

I have a switch in my apartment… it doesn’t do anything…. Every once in a while, I turn it on and off…. One day I got a call… it was from a woman in France…. She said “Cut it out”….

I just got a decaffeinated coffee table – no one can tell the difference.

My pet pony had a terrible experience with electrolysis. Now I rent him out for Hari Krishna picnics.

Symantec Security Response – W32.Klez.H@mm

This virus is still one of the most common, several people in the family have asked me about it before and I’ve sent them to this link. I thought I would put it here for future reference if someone needs it in a hurry.

Whippleworld Corp Of Camping Engineers

It’s 6 days away so I’m relieved that there’s camping planning going on. Renee and Jimmie had a couple of telephone calls about it today. And I love to read about the food. Tell me more about the food, George. Renee and I talked about sharing camp spaces which is something Kim had brought up. We were a little slow on the uptake on that one. Two cars and 8 people per spot, right? Then we only need one camp spot for two families. It’s the buddy system. The fact that we have to carry in our own wood means we need to conserve by sharing what fire our limited supply of wood will make. Then we will branch out, settle new lands and start a civilization. We will worship Chihuly and Daddy Longlegs and eat cornbread.

Chihuly

We had that on the schedule of events for my MOMS Club this month. I chose not to go since I was very afraid of taking Will. But I would like to see the exhibit before it’s gone. Glenn and I had seen a PBS special about his work last year some time and it was just amazing!

Yes! I took Taylor and Evan to see the installation at the SA Library and the exhibit at the SA Museum of Art. (Did I forget to rave about it?)
I cannot overemphasize how important it is that everyone go see these works. They will blow you away. Wonderful. Wonderful.

Happy to pass on cornbread

Deirdre, please make the cornbread. I spoke much too soon.
Can I bring sour cream and minced green onion?

Did you see the Chihuly installation? Maybe we could have an “Art Appreciation Jamboree” at SAMA to view the Chihuly works before they’re gone. While the Chihuly events are over there are still a couple of exhibitions still in town:

Can there be too much cornbread?

Jimmie – you beat me to the cornbread! Let me know if you would like to relinquish cornbread responsibility.

Regarding the quotation marks: it’s Friday – I don’t edit on Fridays.

I’ll make a couple of batches of cornbread, maybe some black bean salad and something else bearing “the thin green veil of health” (in the words of R.B. Blackstone). Let me know if this sounds good.

Hey, cool. That band has a fiddle chick, too! I wonder what they sound like. Have to see if we can find a sample.
