Sad news about Warren Zevon.

I am in CT right now visiting my college roommate, Kim. First friend I made at Ithaca – we met at orientation the summer before our freshman year. Will is having a blast playing with her 2 girls! Off to Newport, RI this afternoon and then to Boston for the night. Another college roommate of mine has an apartment right in the city 2 blocks from the Boston Commons and very near Fanniuel Hall. Haven’t seen her in many years now. Should be a fun reunion. Then up to NH to see one of my oldest friends – met her in kindergarten. Will is gonna have a blast up there. 4 kids to play with! Then back to CT to visit my brother and his brood. Hope you are all well! Don’t think we’ll make it into NYC this trip. But I might be able to leave an audio message from Harvard Square!

I liked it when Letterman asked him what advice he had from his perspective as a dying man and Zevon said “Enjoy every sandwich”.

Warren Zevon passed away on Sunday, September 7th at his home in Los Angeles.

I watched part of the VH-1 special just last night not realizing he had already passed away. It will play again today at 5pm.

Don’t we know somebody with a birthday on September 17th? TC would not be a bad place for a little birthday get-together on a week night. Perrin Beitel & Thousand Oaks should be pretty accessible to everyone. And, Hey! Margaritas, birthday cake and philanthropy rolled up into one neat package. What do you say, Leslie?
