I stopped by and saw Glenn at Hermes yesterday and he said that he and Lynne are really excited about having everybody over there Sunday. I sure hope all you Mutha’s come out.

is on the radio right now – Roots and Branches .
I’ll tell you what, he may be a good producer, but he’s not much of a singer.
while we’re in the area.
Utopia Animal Rescue Ranch
(Be sure to read “Death’s Doggie Door”)
We’ve decided to spend next weekend at the Foster Haus on the Sabinal River. It’s 10 miles north of Utopia and 8 miles from Lost Maples on a 1000 acre ranch. Looks like our kind of fun. I’m hoping to visit the Concan bat caves and John’s hoping to fish. Mostly we’ll just chill. Thanks to all for making it possible!
What can you say about a couple that’s been married 68 years. Damn. As hard as we might try, if we did everything right, if we stay on the McDougal diet….. I don’t know that we’ll reach that milestone. John and I are glad that they’re on the top of that mountain with the family flag. Any younger couples that look up at us will see us pointing up at them.
We are so honored to have a wall covered with anniversary cards. Looks like Christmas time. The messages were all very touching but here’s a portion from the message on the card from Aunt Esther:
“Just talked to Dallas Louise and she told me about it and that you picked wild flowers for tables.. again. I was glad you did, that was a Jimmie Bell “touch” that made it special. Another 25 years and then some would be great! As long as you will still be able to pick those flowers.”
Hey all you bloggers out there! The weather is fine and I’ve got a hankerin’ to grill up some pork ribs. Glenn and I wanted to take a check with everyone to see if you’d be up for a Sunday Hootenanny. May 9th, 1-ish (so that all the moms have time to get breakfast in bed)? Bring a dish to share, beverage of choice and your instruments. Oh yeah, and a mom (or mom-to-be)!
Here is some video that Evan shot. It was a pretty romantic night. I think the most valuable part is showing all of our love to the kids.
