The puppies grew up today

Here’s a slideshow of puppy photos we uploaded to flickr today. The pups are 14 week old teenagers. They were thinking about starting a band but their bass player got given away last week. Big news in puppyworld – we’ve decided, as a family, that we have to keep Loretta Lynne and will find a home for Rascal (Robert Redford). Man, it’s tough because they have all been such great people. I mean dogs. These pictures are all of Rascal:

It sure seems to me that they are over-reacting. The truck is carrying “shaped charge material used to initiate explosives” which is like a detonator cap. It WON’T explode without a trigger – like a big jolt of electricity. Even if it DID explode (which it won’t) how big would the blast really be?
I don’t even live in San Antonio and this pisses me off!

The Mighty Rockaboos include 14-year-old Molly Allan, the daughter of Glenn Allan of Glenn Allan & Kim Mackenzie. Allan & Mackenzie will be the hosts of an open-mike night on Thursday at Scenic Loop Café.

Scenic Loop Open Mic

June 7th, 2005 @ 21:09

I’d told Glenn that we couldn’t make the Thursday premiere of Glenn, Kim and Chris’ new open mic because I was going down to a property tax appraisal meeting on the little house in Rockport. But I don’t have to go so we will be at the Scenic Loop Cafe in Boerne the day after tomorrow. Gotta help them kick it off with a show of support. I was talking to Bonnie Priest earlier tonight and sounds like they’ll be there. Please come out if you can. If there’s room in the lineup, we’ll play. Jimmie said that she would even practice with me between now and then which never happens. We play so rarely that not running through the songs once or twice leads to total discumbobulation. We used to play in clubs 2 or 3 times a week and we could just instinctually go through song after song for hours. Now, you’ll notice looks on our faces that say “So, where are you?” and “Well, I don’t know, where are you?” then “How ’bout I race you to the end?”. When it’s just me playing and singing I have that same conversation with myself so I know I’m the problem. But we’ll be on our best behavior, I promise.
