Happy Birthday, Deirdre!!!

Love you!
It’s Sunday morning at the Java Bay Internet Cafe. Taylor and I went body surfing at the beach yesterday and got big old sea lice in our cracks. They bite and burn so there was some very funny dancing all the way to the showers. We went to Corpus Christi near the end of the day and drove by Bob Hall Pier and the spot where we honeymooned. We caught three great fish; two nice trout and a flounder right across from the spot where we always used to fish when we were first married. Taylor caught a nice mess of crabs and we ate it all in a huge seafood feast last night. Between checking his nets, Taylor took a bunch of amazing photos.

We’ve been emailing a little and he’d like to come down and visit someday. I love just about everything he does but I had to post this new piece in particular for Deirdre because of the Loteria connection. The links he included in this post are great. As a matter of fact, his whole blog is one to bookmark and check in on.

she’s gonna “win” the woodzie. This is after I told her we’re trying to invite everybody but particularly people who will camp through the night and be there to sing around the campfire in the morning. And, as Glenn says, have the husbands cook breakfast for the mothers. It was after I was joking to her about plans to have a “Parade of Homes” to visit peoples tents and campsites and have “best lawn care” and “neighborhood beautification” awards that she immediately hopped over the fence and headed into the woods to get dubs on a killer site. I just imagine she and her friends are gonna throw together some kind of a villa. Take a look at the photo called Taylor and Will,

Avery Johnson named coach of the year!
He deserves it, too. Amazing that it’s his first season as head coach.
Jimmie was going to sketch out a couple of ideas but she sat down yesterday morning and the very first idea she had was just “it”. I have scanned it and now just need to take it into Photoshop and put the text around it - if anybody has ideas about what it should say please send me an email. What do you think about printing some Koozies? Everyone loved last year’s t-shrits so much that we’re going to make sure we have enough plus some maybe some other fun stuff. Why not?

here are a couple of pictures with tunji in woodize-wear in and around guilin, china. two of the pics you can’t really see the image on his shirt, but it’s woodzie alright. aloha.

When your feeder is visited by a painted bunting!
makes it way through the mail. Here’s the story and the photos. It’s a good thing.

is a fast and very simple online spell checker. Their idea is that you bookmark it to keep it handy then cut and paste in and copy out after the spelling is corrected. In FireFox you can open it as a tab and just leave it open. Here’s the link.

I think I did rather nicely WITH my iPod, don’t you? ![]()
The Spurs are playing the Kings in the first round of the playoffs.
I hope the Kidwells of Sacramento will still speak to us after thier beloved basketball team meets the world champions from San Antonio.
Should be a fun series.

Taylor likes to take unique photos of interesting found objects. And clouds. But he’s slowed way down. His camera has been dethroned by his iPod.
The guy that took this art honey photo has more here. Taylor, see if there is any inspiration there. Or, for clouds, here. In the flickr group, the one “Sorry, We’re Open” was taken in San Antonio. I wonder where that is?

I’m Buster’s Buddy! Who doesn’t love a “buppet”? No, seriously, I’m a big fan of public transportation. I have been taking the bus to work for the past month and I love it. We will save at least $90 per month between parking costs and gas. AND! Not having to deal with traffic every morning. Priceless.
