Watching a really detailed ultrasound image of the inside of your heart beating. I had an echocardiogram and it was haunting; feathery little valves opening and closing and looking a lot less industrial than I had hoped. I wanted it to look like a diesel engine that you could leave running while you walk into the feed store but it looks more like a ballet that might be over at any time.
