I just got back from Alpine TX and I just loved it! I took the train out on Tuesday and came back last night (or technically, this morning). I highly recommend this method of travel and I cannot say enough about how much I enjoyed Alpine.

    Tricks of the Trade

Matthew Baldwin asked his readers to send him thier “insider tricks” like:

    Desktop Support

When desktop support technicians resolve a ticket, they are usually required to document the cause and solution to the problem. Supervisors see these records, so you have to be professional, but can usually get away with using the acronym “PEBKAC” in situations where the user caused the initial problem. PEBKAC stands for “Problem Exists Between Keyboard and Chair.”

and look back at what was going on. You can see things like kids as babies and people with less gray hair. You have to use the “previous entries” button when you reach the bottom of a page to see the first half of some months. Clicking on the header will retrieve you from the past and pull you back to the present. Don’t you think that the older the blog gets the cooler it becomes?

Gee, That was a million years ago. . . . The 58 Hillman Minx station wagon was my ride to school. . . . The 58 Chevrolet was an auction car to pay for it! The house at 522 never looked better. My life as I knew it made a radical change. . . .that year.

will be open this summer. This link is to a video that should bring back memories - the NASA footage in the begining is just hilarious and in the end they want donations… but in the middle it’s very much worth watching. Everybody’s been asking what the deal with Blue Hole is and those two links tell the story.

The first Woodzie started as a birthday party for Dad and Evan and so a big part of this Woodzie will be a celebration of Dad turning 70 and Evan turning 13. Two landmarks for two great people.
