Happy Birthday, Casey!

Here is the link to the photos I took of the incredible production of Midsummer’s Night Dream we saw in Pinos Altos, NM last Saturday night. It was staged outdoors – partly in an old fort and partly in a forested area. It was the liveliest, most coherent production of MSND that I have ever seen, and I’ve seen a few.
just talked to Bill Steagall and he and Linda say…we’re having the big birthday party at their place, rain or shine!

The map, the time and details are in the post below from last week. Casey was born on the 4th, so was Bill’s daughter Valerie and so is the 92 year old owner of that cool house, Ann Marie, who’ll be there swimming and drinking wine. Most likely there’ll be some rain but it’s not going to rain the whole time. Old people, people made of sugar or people who have beehive hairdos can go in the house or stand on the porch while it rains. The rest of us are going to wear our swimsuits, carrying umbrellas and party on. Bill has a bunch of briskets ready to go on the bar-b-que pit, everybody be sure to bring a sidedish or dessert. And/or some beer. And/or some fireworks. And/or a tent. We’ll sit on the porch where it’s covered and play music. Then it’ll be the huge fireworks show at night and that will awesome, I promise. And we won’t have to worry about a grass fire.
If the rain gets to be too much Bill says we’ll all just head up the hill to Gruene Hall, it’s right there on the other side of the river. This will be a fun time, please come!!
Just got back from Silver City and had a great time. So happy to see Willy and Jonah – but so sorry to have had to leave. Lucky Grace gets to spend 5 more days with R2! I’ll post more details as soon as I can but in the meantime, here’s a little taste of the great people and scenery of Silver:
