Hillary was very kind to invite us all to a potluck dinner and singing in Sissy’s honor. Renee and Randy are driving in, Cassell and Becky are here; it’ll be nice. Everybody is invited. Please bring a covered dish and an uncovered song. Hope to also see you at the funeral Saturday at Sunset Memorial at 3:00 and reception afterwards at Ken and Pat Taylor’s house. If you need maps, help or any other information please call or email.

    Dallas Louise Webb-Wickham-Grodman

Our beloved Miss Dallas passed away this morning, Wednesday, August 29 at 10:40 am. Her children Jack and Winona and I were there with her. It was very peaceful.

Services will be Saturday, September 1st at Sunset Funeral Chapel on Austin Highway in San Antonio at 3pm. There will be viewing at the beginning of the services in the chapel then a memorial, followed by a short graveside service. The family invites you to gather with them afterward at the home of Pat and Ken Taylor at 26003 Shadow Point in Timberwood Park outside San Antonio.

Dallas loved flowers, but memorials to the Bulverde Children’s Library would also be appreciated if you wish.

Dallas has taken a turn for the worse. Her pain has increased dramatically and she has to be heavily medicated. Breathing is very labored. She is not able to get out of bed or eat. Hospice has a nurse staying with her around the clock and she is surrounded by family. It won’t be long till she is free of the pain and misery of this disease and we want you to know that your love and prayers are helping us all get through this difficult time.

    Craig here…
For those who remember this brilliant bluegrass player please do check out Sierra Hull on Youtube. Uncanny similar style. For all I know she’s hugely famous in the U.S. (at least she should be) and you probably know her well but we don’t get too much of this type of stuff in the UK.

It was the summer of rain, spent a lot of time at home with the boys. I think everybody’s plans were effected some by the crazy amount of rain. Anyway, Taylor will be a senior starting Monday morning at the same high school Casey graduated from.

I received this letter concerning changes at my property in Spicewood. I knew that gating was coming because of the recent growth, but I think it is a good thing being we don’t have to stay there and watch it all the time. Popularity has really multiplied since Willie Nelson moved in next door.

I understand from a question I asked that his property starts at

Burning Man is just a week away. Here’s an amazing photo gallery of last year, really worth looking at. I’ve always wanted to go, funny how Jimmie and I were just there in Nevada yesterday. I’d love to have a Whippleworld themed camp there some crazy year…. if we could stand the heat. Maybe I’ll never make it, maybe Taylor will go. For now we’ll just watch all the naked people on the Burning Man Webcam. As I’m posting this it’s just a black night time screen so I have no idea if there’ll be naked people or not. You can only hope. Not. When the sun comes up there, it should show people getting ready for it. I don’t know if they leave it on during the event, have to come back to this post and next week and check.
