I’m a “key qualifier” to win a new Ford Focus. Will be at Jordan Ford tomorrow from 1-4 testing my luck!
I called in this morning on my way to work and was the ninth caller on the last day of the contest. Considering the Spurs win at the game I got to see last night, I’m feeling pretty lucky!

I’ve seen one of these candles at H.E.B. that was for good luck with your car. You should stop and get one and walk around at the key thing with it lit.

You don’t need the Martha Dominadora candle.

Good luck, Jimmie! We’ll be wishing you the best. You know, Tyler has had two of these cars and she’s had great luck with them. They’re little but sturdy. And free cars are the best kind of all! We always call the Saturn that Annalee gave us and the Toyota that Renee and Randy gave us “blessing cars”. Here’s wishing you a blessing car!

It sounds crazy, but I felt just like Ann-Mom did when she saw the Cajun microwave. The first time they announced the contest I thought, “How nice of them to do that for me!” Then after months of hearing them qualify people I thought, “If I’m supposed to win that car I better pick up my card.” So I stopped at a Tiger tote for a snack on the way to Bonnie’s birthday/candle party. I was only gonna take one card, cause that’s all you need to win, right? But the guy handed me three - and it was the third one that had the Canyon Lake thingy that I needed.
Then I’m driving to work yesterday and thinking, “Geez, I forgot to qualify for the car and now the whole thing’s over.” So they come on the radio and say “Caller number nine with Canyon Lake on your card will qualify for the car!” I dial 3 times and hear the ringing.
Now, today, I’m thinking “Man , I have a lot to do, but first I’ve got to go pick up my car!”
Either my brain’s gone haywire, or I really am supposed to win.
Should be fun either way!!

You absolutely will win that car, and I wouldn’t be surprised that at about this time you have
to smile to yourself thinking, I know I’ve won that car. Those Cajuns couldn’t believe I had won.
Can’t wait for a ride!

- John : I did a couple of experiments and here's the deal. For needless Def Con 5 security reasons, registered users' names can't be used unless that user is authenticated by being logged in. It was never a problem for us but what they have accomplished is that nobody can chat in your name but you. Non-member's names aren't verified. If you don't want to log in for a quick chat then use a slightly different name than your blog user name. And feel smiley and secure.

Casey sang three original songs and was great. Jimmie sat there and knitted and got up to sing Steve Earle songs behind Brad. Kim parents were there, it was a big crowd. Kim's dad sang. It was a very nice night.

- John : it's misleading because it defaults to putting that guest_xxxx in the box, I wish it just left it blank because it looks like it's done it for some reason and that you're SUPPOSED to be this specific numbered guest. For those of you who get that impression, that's not the case - just type your first name over what's written in there. We have no idea what those numbers mean. It should come up blank and say "enter you name here" and that would end the confusion.
- guest_5847 : Even when I type my name in it still shows up as guest. Is it something with the Mac or with not being logged in? ....coming out of the closet.... Art.
- Jimmie : What I like is how I get to know someone through their comments, and if no name is given there can be none of that. If you take credit for what you say it gives others a chance to build a picture of who you are. Bonds and ties can grow. Relationships develop. I have found that this is a pretty safe place for me to be myself, and want to encourage all anony-mouses to give it a try!

- Renee : Mama and I are reading the comments and we agree that it's pretty lazy of people (not to mention, annoying) when they don't fill in their name and identify themselves.
