Miss Jimmie was body painting at the party

had her own little open office in the cupboard under the stairs. It was a big hit. If your new years resolution was to get a tattoo she was helping you demo it first. Here’s Mike Fletcher getting a flaming guitar.

a few photos from the Laven’s New Year’s Eve Party 2008

when the batteries get low on my camera it takes very colorful, spacey looking photos. I didn’t have any spares but instead of putting it away I just took “art shots” until it died entirely. The bass fiddle in the yard was worth it. It’s a giant house and it was packed; great party.

Does this make you think? . . . Or lets You Understand?

Check it out!

We all die of something. . . .But, does the life we lived really die?

The people I remember haven’t! Even the one’s that died too young or is there a thing as a natural death? It is difficult to understand that all deaths are natural and almost all come too soon! If everyone had lived just one more day, could things be different? and if so. . . What would you change? If your answer was “yes”. . . .then do it now! remembering “The only thing you keep forever is what you gave away.” and that was true from day one!. . . had you have only known your life could have been far less complicated and better enjoyed. . . .The most valuable gifts are to be forgiven of our trespasses and to have forgiven others long long ago! “Like our last Music” was better than our first

Ad for Homemade Bike on Craigslist

bike
from Growabrain

“I have a homemade bike me and my brother built many years ago. Runs and drives but the back tire kind of rides sideways. The seat blew out a few years ago and I made do with a sofa cushion, duct tape and a couple of 2x 4′s ( the ultimate fix! ). It runs like a champ but does smoke a lot especially if you are hard on the gas. Uses about a quart of oil for each gas fillup. I usually just put the oil directly in the gas as it is going to burn it anyway and that way it is easy. Can’t drive over 12 miles or so at a time as the motor gets red hot and starts loosing power so probably a good bike for someone who drives locally. Does backfire and squeal pretty loud occasionally so I usually wear earplugs of some kind. DOES NOT pass emmissions so would need to be registered in a county without emissions check. Great first bike otherwise!”

This is Malcolm playing harp. We spent some time around the firepit with them on New Year’s Eve and his very kind wife Toni showed this snapshot to me on her phone and emailed it in. Andreas Laven is playing bass. Nice people and good friends. I told Malcolm he should join my imaginary band. See Malcolm, that’s how we’d look. The Blind Muskrats.

I’ve been slippin’ on my photo taking duties. We’re suppose to put up our family and friends’ photos, but like all family blogs W.W. has turned mostly to YouTubes. :) We’re flowin’ with the times, I guess that’s not bad. I got this from Deirdre of me and Renee on the motorcycle. We were lucky to have Renee in from Silver City, New Mexico for both Thanksgiving and Christmas this year.

Tires coming soon

Try to shoot these puppies out!
If this works out the next step in bright ideas could be a 360 degree pneumatic band that would expand the diameter of the wheels in the center of the treadpeeds reducing tire contact area with the road which will increase the actual support pressure at high speeds creating a positive control; contact with the road at very high speeds
