email2friendAND THEN THE FIGHT STARTED
My wife sat down on the couch next to me as I was flipping channels. She asked, ‘What’s on TV?’ I said, ‘Dust.’
And then the fight started…

My wife and I are watching “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire” while we were in bed. I turned to her and said, “Do you want to have sex?”
“No,” she answered. I then said, “Is that your final answer?”
She didn’t even look at me this time, simply saying, “Yes.”
So I said, “Then I’d like to phone a friend.”
And then the fight started….

I rear-ended a car this morning. So, there we were alongside the road
and slowly the other driver got out of his car. You know how sometimes you just get soooo stressed and little things just seem funny? Yeah, well I couldn’t believe it…. He was a DWARF!!!
He stormed over to my car, looked up at me, and shouted, “I AM NOT HAPPY!!!”
So, I looked down at him and said, “Well, then which one are you? ”
And then the fight started…..

email2friendDear John —
I’ve just had the good fortune to come across a photo of William Crouch Whipple and family in a box of photos I’m going through; I’ll attach a scan of it. A note on the back of the photo explains that the children in the back row are arranged in order of age, with the oldest, Louisa, standing behind her father; the youngest, Earnest, is sitting between mother and father. The photo appears to have been taken about 1875.
Back row, left to right: Hannah Whipple, Oscar Whipple, Orva Whipple, Orin Whipple, Louisa Whipple.
Front row, left to right: Hannah (Geer) Whipple, Earnest Whipple, William Crouch Whipple
Perhaps this will give you some help in identifying any old photos you have from that era.
Keep in touch.

Sam and Dave 1967. Doesn’t look like video at all, looks like it was shot on film by somebody who knew what they were doing. It wasn’t on a sound stage it was at live show in Germany so how they got the lighting, the audio, the mix… everything just perfect for a one off performance is amazing. Be sure you’ve selected the HQ setting. It cuts off right before it finishes which is a shame. Listen to the reflections in the hall, of course behind the vocal but listen to the snare, that’s what the most expensive reverb unit in the world struggles to match. This is one of the coolest videos I’ve ever seen. If you like this, here’s a player that will play a dozen songs from the show…..

My wonderful daughter Casey gave me a dryer for my birthday! I’ve been so happy to be home this weekend just doing laundry! My old dryer has been out of commission for months, and I’ve been using the clothesline (and probably still will to some extent), but today’s fabrics are not meant to be line dried. Knits just have to have a spin in the machine or they get stiff and covered in lint.
I thought my old dryer was good but I was wrong! This one is so much better. It’s very large capacity and gets everything dry very quickly. My old one, I had to run most loads 2-3 times. Honestly.
Thanks again to Casey and Sean for bringing me this super gift!
email2friendI received a certified letter stating that the City plans to tow my car away in 10 days. It is a very nice car that I keep at my house on my driveway. I don’t use it much anymore just like I don’t use my arm or my legs much anymore. . . .but, I still need them and want them to be left alone.
II go to my house once a day to feed my dog and my cat and tidy up the yard. I bought this house 50 years ago and it has been paid for for the last 20 years. If the car looked bad and had and had massive ugly damage I could see their point in representing a neighbor that maybe unhappy, but this is not the case.
Because I am away so much the car represents my presence there which there are security issues in the neighborhood. If you look at the picture and imagine the car not being there, would the house look any better? would the neighborhood look any better? Absolutely not!
The only thing they would gain is my car!. . . .and I will gain a uninhabited looking house inviting a break in.. . . . .
email2friendSay you’re sorting laundry, and there are lots of socks. If they have holes do you wash them first then throw them away? Why?
I really want to know.

“Mighty Uke is a feature documentary that travels the world to discover why so many people of different nations, cultures, ages and musical tastes are turning to the ukulele to express themselves, connect with the past, and with each other. From the Redwoods of California through the gritty streets of New York, from swinging London through Tokyos highrise canyons to Hawaii, ukers tell the story of the peoples instrument: The Mighty Uke.”
