check it out http://strawbalegardens.com/. Of course hay bales aren’t cheap but it sure looks effective. It would keep the soil moist and well drained at the same time. It would let me put a temporary garden in the most sunny available spot. My old garden spot has gotten too shady. It would make it easier to keep the dogs out. I have some good soil to fill it with. I think I might try a relatively small one and just put some tomatoes and salad plants and herbs in. Some garlic.
Yellow wrappers from Laffy Taffy candy
Thrown away by some careless kid
Who thought our lawn was handy?
But I had wrongly placed the blame
On an unknown child without a name
When I stooped to pick them up
They were yellow primrose buttercups.
Mother nature was the litterbug
And April fooled me with a floral rug.
Hi Family ~ Hope you enjoy the pics of Jack’s Bday bash w/ the girls in Austin (at our new place near downtown). We had such fun and walked to Zilker Park/Town Lake – it was a gorgeous Texas spring weekend! Oh, and those barbies were mine that I gave they girls – they thought they were so cool & vintage
Hope all is well & love to all, Winona
