the campgrounds were completely full. I’ve never seen so many tents stacked upon tents up and down the hills and out into the fields. Thousands of people. Wild.

May 30th 1945 (65yrs ago) Archie Wright Seal died in a diabetic coma. He left a 23yr old wife and three children ages 7, 5 and 3yrs old. He didn’t die as a “Hero” or a great man of knowledge or consequence to anybody but his young family.
This is just to let you know that I know of one man that died on Memorial Day, and he was just a husband and father and special only to them. But has never for one day been forgotten.
If it hadn’t been for my grandma (Rosa Atkinson) because of mother’s illness we would have been put in an orphanage. My grandmother took us and actually “raised” us, until mother remarried 7 years later and she moved on and helped “raise” her other grandchildren. She was a wonderful lady and loved her family.
Just remembering that he was my “Hero”!
