“What the iPad did to my family” by Chuck Hollis

Last Sunday, I broke down and bought a non-3G iPad. I just was too damn curious. Walked into the Apple Store, played with it for 5 minutes, gave them my credit card, and walked out 15 minutes later.

Brought it home, set it up, downloaded some interesting stuff, and had a blast. Big geek fun.

I then went off to work for the week, and left it home. And that’s when things got interesting …

Dad and I were looking through some of his stuff at the house on Glendora yesterday and uncovered one of those multi-photo picture frames with some of my old photos in it. I’m just back from my first swim of 2010. It was great! I’ll be Jumping in the Comal river every day after work as long as the weather holds. We had a great time at the coast, and it’s hard to go back to work, but the beginning of swim time reminds me why I love living in New Braunfels.

On a sad note, I also want to let those of you who haven’t heard know about what’s happened to my cousin Rusty Webb. He’s my Aunt Esther & Uncle Jimmie’s son, and is about my age. Well, he was in a very bad motorcycle wreck in Austin last night, and is very serious but stable condition. We appreciate your prayers for him.
