There is nothing like a Jag! I’m not sure if that is good or bad, but, it is true. It is almost ageless. It has an alluring appeal into it’s old antiqueness or maybe we just haven’t got there yet.
It is just a different experience that leaves you in wonder.
I have been driving a borrowed Jaguar for about a week! There is something about this bold and blatant beauty that seeks out that “real” car man!
My Brother Bill bought a black 1954 4 door saloon from a Paul Anderson executive when he worked there. It had a problem where the holes in the block that went into the water jacket became eroded away and gave it an overheating problem that no one could seem to fix.
He brought it to my house and we put another head and gasket on it and torqued it very carefully It did not overheat again, but, Bill still did not trust it because of all the stories he had heard that all of them were that way. It stayed parked in Mother’s driveway like it belonged to it next to Dad’s black 1952 Packard which was a very reliable car.
