Beet Cake

Today’s cheat day snacks are pecan based. First I dipped whole pecans in melted butter, then rolled them in brown sugar, cinnamon and cayenne. Sprinkle with kosher salt. After creating a custom wire mesh tray I broiled them in the Flavorwave. Nice! I like them with a very light coating, and boy are they good warm!! So now I have a leftover bowl of brown sugar – cinnamon -cayenne yummy butteriness to which I add pecan pieces. I cook bacon in the flavor wave til almost done then sprinkle on the topping and cook some more. It’s hard to describe how good this is. The only thing it reminds me of is when the bacon falls in the pancake syrup. I’ve always wanted to make this snack, and I have read that it can be frozen and microwaved when “needed”. Life is good!!!

Before I get very far into this story I would like to make it perfectly clear that I have never been involved in running booze or involved in street drugs. I missed those scenes completely. What I would like to tell is a very true story of the times and my own experiences in “fast Cars” and hot pursuit.

I bought the airplane at the San Antonio Auto Auction on the Austin Highway from a photograph showing it dissembled for $275.
I was not expecting much at that price.
I figured I would go get it on a

I am going to do a series of posts telling about the adventurous side of my mother which I now can understand is a part of me and I can now explain the “Pullin” twist on my life.
There was a diff-innate definable pattern of true adventure in her character that I think I inherited it from her and I am just now really realizing it. Her attraction to antique stores and the unusual stuff and would find junk that would wind up appreciated as some of the greatest times in our family life stories. How lucky for me!
There was much family talk about my father rejecting her adventurous
