Now it is just a loose picture of many laying in the the bottom of the drawer. It reminds me of many mornings on the road to new adventure.
We are now in a different time making this memory precious to my soul and my dedication to my “Ride Safe” life long adventurous sport I have enjoyed for over 65 years. Every turn beckons for new adventure of the outdoors where the adventure is to touch, feel, and see and remember.
This picture was taken down in Mexico on a 1974 Honda 750. Truly the first “super bike” ever and a magic carpet to the world. If you notice the sissy-bar stacked with bed rolls and tent and my double touring bay sitting on the seat that has everything but the kitchen sink. You learn to live anywhere under your hat and be comfortable.
Time and energy become respectfully dominant and very real. I wake up at 5am ready to meet a new day.

Jim and I will be playing and hosting every Thursday starting tomorrow, Thurs. Sept. 29th, at a very cool, friendly neighborhood burger joint on Hildebrand just west of San Pedro called Big Bob’s. You’ll love this place; really great food, great beer selection and killer location.
This is the continuation of The Thursday Night Music Club but in a more controlled format. What will be different is that Jimmie and I will start playing right at 7:00 then then invite people up to the stage to play; either alone or in a two or three person song swap. No sign in sheet and not everybody will play every week, we’ll try our best to keep it fresh. When the time is right each night we’ll get the week’s special guest up for a showcase. Big Bob’s closes at 10:00 so we’re all guaranteed plenty of beauty sleep. This is a very family friendly place so

This brings back a specific childhood memory of “warsh” day at my grandparents’house in San Marcos. It’s authentic, down to the scrubbing of the back porch! The clothes were hung on bushes in the yard. I remember that it never rained that day, or if it did, helping to gather every thing up and take it all inside! Later they did get a “warshin” machine – it stood on the back porch and had a hand cranked roller. This would have been in the 1930″s. I also remember what a miracal the first toilet was in that house!
Believe me, I really do count the blessings of my washer and drier and bathroom (including hot shower at bedtime!!!)
Love, Gini

the Whipple alphabet
Alexander Graham Bell thought Johnathan Whipple was a genius. Start at this chapter of Johnathan’s autobiography and then scroll up and read from the beginning. That last chapter as Duane I. Schultz explains, appeared in The Mystic Oral School: An Argument in its Favor by Alexander Graham Bell. Then when you go back and read about Johnathan’s humble life you’ll see what a cool story it all adds up to. Also on the site is this article written by our Aunt Clara. And… this is also a good article.
