Below will be in the SA Express Sunday paper and online.
In Loving Memory of Dallas Wickham-Grodman
August 19, 1942 – August 29, 2007
It’s been one year since we lost our beloved mother, grandmother, wife, sister, aunt, teacher, and friend to all Dallas Wickham-Grodman. Few people have shown as brightly in the lives of so many.
Dallas, you are not forgotten, nor will you ever be. As long as life and memory last, we will remember thee.
Memorial and photos at www.mem.com (Here’s a direct linK to her page)
And I like below from mom’s Eulogy which was added to missdallas.blogspot.com (lots of her library friends visit her site). May post elsewhere..
As we remember Dallas’ life today, we can’t focus on what we have lost, we must remember the gifts and lessons she has taught us in the past and that she continues to teach us into the future. Dallas Wickham Grodman – a master teacher. She continues to teach us still. Her lessons are all around us—with the love of a wife, the pride of a mother, the doting of a grandmother, the strength of the oldest sibling, and the support of a valued friend.
She has moved on to her final teaching assignment—teaching us and guiding us every day as she watches over the larger classroom of our lives.
So therefore, once more, with apologies to the Bard, “Good night, [dear Dallas], and flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.”
